Cortisol Test

This test is used to detect levels of the “stress hormone” cortisol, which is produced in the adrenal glands in response to acute stress like illness, exercise, and emotional triggers. This hormone helps control blood sugar levels and energy metabolism and too much or too little cortisol can be a sign of an adrenal gland disorder.
